Zebb B. Harris was born in Mississippi in 1847. He came to Wortham, Tx. In 1865, directly after the Civil War. He had dark eyes and hair and was medium height. He married Mary Etta Williamson. They lived in Wortham about two years, then moved to Old Brewer (now known as Teague, Tx.) They had three sons, Llewellen Madison, Hubbard Clinton & Shade.

Llewellen Madison Harris, had brown hair & dark eyes & was born on Nov. 5, 1869, in Teague, Tx.. He died Nov. 24, 1957, as the result of old age & a fall that broke his arm at his shoulder.

His wife, Julia Ann Shafer (blue eyes & light brown hair) was born Jan. 13, 1879, in Bell Count, Texas. Ahe was the daughter of John Berton Shafer & Este Ophelia McKnight. They married May 8, 1900, & had 5 daughters, Alma Ora McCollum, Julie Mae Maloy, Este Ophelia Harris, Mildred Phlenia Thomas & Ruby Florence Holik; six sons Alva Bryan, Ira McClatchie, Loy Eugine, Charles Leslie, Llewellen Madison, Jr., & Jack Zebb. Most of the children had brown eyes & hair; were tall & slim. Julia Ann died July 23, 1964, at Mexia, Tx. Both are buried in Salem Cemetery, six miles south of Teague.

Hubbard Clinton Harris was born May 24, 1873, in Teague, Tx. & died April 5, 1965. He was buried in the Cotton Gin Cemetery, north of Teague. Hubbard’s wife, Oddie Calaway died May 14, 1936. They had five sons, Ernest, Vernon, Marvin, H.C., Jr., & Marshall and 3 daughters, Artie Mae Inderman, Riva Ford & Mary Etta Thompson. Mary Etta died in Teague on July 20, 1975, & Riva died in Houston.

Shade Harris was born in 1871. His wife was Minnie Jones. They had 2 sons, Johnny & Leon & 2 daughters, Leta & Lonie Mae. They moved to Dallas, and we lost touch with them.

Zebb’s wife, Mary Etta died. He then married Mary Butler. They had one son, Eugene Thomas & one daughter, Ora.

Eugene Thomas Harris was born Aug. 18, 1880, in Old Brewer (Now Teague, Tx.) & died April 25, 1959, in Houston following a heart attack. Eugene Thomas married Ada Senter who died Nov. 2, 1960, in Houston. They had 3 daughters, Gertude Jackson, Lois Ferguson, Marie Rogers & 4 son, Roy B. (deceased), Carl M., E.T., Jr., & Lester Ora Harris married J.D. Baker.

Zebb’s second wife, Mary, died. He then married Molly Smith (born 1866). They had no children. He died July 1935 following a stroke of paralysis. Mollie died in 1946. Both are buried in Salem Cemetery, six miles south of Teague, Tx.
